I am really surprised that these celebrities have not taken the time to get educated on etiquette- especially if the celebrities are going to a Michelin Star restaurant to make a video of themselves consuming high end cuisine- 🤪

I am blessed because from the age of around 5 yrs., my mom taught us manners and etiquette, and I am still learning! It’s great however to see that lot of people want to up their game rather than think etiquette is unimportant or irrelevant in this day and age. It actually is very relevant, because etiquette is actually being respectful to others, as well as to oneself.

I want to know one thing, the dessert eating actually looked for me inelegant. Is it really the proper way? Strange. Looked messy and harsh. I don't know a lot about etiquette, but most of the rules you presented in reaction videos were known to me. The dessert part seemes to me quite informal. Could you explain? Visually it doesn't look good, in my opinion. Secondly, I was taught that you eat your dessert wit either a small dessert spoon, never the size of soup spoon or a dessert fork. You use very big cutlery.

I think it is important to discuss the proper way of picking up a white wine glass vs a red wine glass. This might be something you have discussed or someting mentioned in the video – if so, I apologze.

One would never grab the glass by the body when drinking white wine. As you can see she does by holding the stem of the wine glass.

One critique is I suggest you fold your napkin diagonally, in a triangular shape and place it on your lap with the fold towards you. When you lift to wipe, you should use the bottom layer corner of the napkin that would be closer to your knees, and only wipe on the inside. When you place the napkin back down, the top layer of the napkin can cover the layer you just wiped on. This way any residue of the napkin would not be exposed to the room nor your clothing. The way you currently use your napkin risks the unclean parts of the napkin touching your dress which I find increasingly distracting…

I have old French cutlery, and on much of it from that same period, it is decorated on both sides, but the medallion area is on the back side (where a monogram, crest, etc., would be engraved or added) for all pieces, so you would normally put the forks tines down as you mention, but also the spoons as well. I have some very old American cutlery that is done the same way, but it may have been meant for a French family as it has a Fleur de Lys on it, with the medallion for the monogram or crest on the back side.
