People complain that Pats is a tourist trap, this video shows nothing but wholesome pureness. Nothing added, chopped steak, your choice of cheese a great Philly roll, and a hot grill. What’s not to like ?
Both Pat's and Geno's are Okay. Yes there are plenty that are better. Most likely there is a good place in any neighborhood you are in. Makeing a special trip to where these two are is not necessary. Ask the locals in the Philly area where you are. Dont make a trip.
Is it me or are they not putting much meat on the roll, I'm from Baltimore City if your ever visit the city, go to captain Harvey's on Dundalk Ave. They load up the meat on their subs. It would take 4 or 5 scoops from this place to equal 1 steak sub from Captain Harvey's, Captain Harvey's subs have so much meat they can't close the roll when they wrap it .

I prefer Larry's Steaks near the campus of St. Josephs University. When I first moved here, a friend took me to Geno's, I liked it but there are other places not as well known that make much better ones. Explorer's Den used to be good but not anymore. I found really great cheese steaks at a place called 'Pete's Pizza' at 1913 N.54th Street. I loved their Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak and all their steaks have a nice meat-to- bread ratio.😋
I love Philly. On my recent trip I was sad to see Jimmy's use closed. I've had Gino's and Pat's and they both were disappointing. I prefer the steak chopped up with less oil. Thankfully there was a hungry person next to me so I didn't have to throw it in the garbage. Great video.

Glass grill with high heating point has to become the norm. Easier to clean.
Pat's is the last place I'd go to have an authentic cheesestack or even good cheesesteak! They do good marketing but that's it!
